Current status: The Problem is fixed

Smart Guess Real-time Engine was fixed around 11:30 GMT, 4th of August 2023. A certificate expired, causing the issue. The certificate was set up to be automatically renewed, but it required manual approval for the renewal to complete. Smart Guess is now working with AWS-certified professionals to review the setup so this will never happen again.

When and what is the impact?

Smart Guess's Real-time Engine went down around 23:30 GMT, 3rd of August 2023. This means all real-time interactions within the app don't work.

Smart Guess Realtime Engine shares key user actions with other team members participating in the estimation session when they happen. This is critical so all team members can see who has joined, who has given an estimate, etc.

What are we doing?

We are working around the clock, bringing in certified Amazon Web Services experts tomorrow morning, 5th of August 2023, to help us resolve the problem as soon as possible.
